Overview
Chemie-Tech’s scope covered Tankage Packages I–III, comprising 154 tanks with an aggregate capacity of 36.8 million bbl, including six 92 m diameter tanks. The packages reached physical completion in 2024 and formal handover in 2025. The work combined large-scale tankage execution, heavy site logistics, major fabrication infrastructure and multi-front field activity.
The challenge
The scale was exceptional: 6,000+ personnel at peak and 40 million LTI-free man-hours across 154 tanks in three packages, including six 92 m diameter tanks, all inside a congested fast-track refinery site with very limited tolerance for interface or sequencing failure.
Our approach
Chemie-Tech deployed a large site fabrication facility, full heavy construction plant and parallel execution fronts, using standardised tank sequences, rolling workface release and shared quality and material controls to keep engineering, fabrication and site erection synchronised.
